Hanging the Heater up

Before we started on the ceiling I pulled some measurements to find the angle of the lower cord of the trusses so I could rip down some 2*4s on the table saw at the same angle. This would give me a level surface to hang the heater from on the bottom of the steel and the top of the lower chords. The plan was to hang the heater the same way we did at the old house just on a larger scale.

Lower chord of trusses were flat at the old house.
With an 8′ ceiling two guys held up the heater and I screwed in some screws. Done.
6 degree angle.
Now the mounting point is parallel with the ground and nice and flat for the heater.

I debated renting a Genie lift but figured Mark and I could hang it up if we got creative. We dead lifted the heater up to the scaffold platform about 6′ up, climbed up there then dead lifted it once more up to the top of the scaffold. Charlotte standing to the side on top of the inception shed then slide some 2*4s under it so it was a couple inches from its final position.

Next I went up in the attic and Mark fed the bolts up to me through pre drilled holes and I put a washer and a nut on each and sucked the heater up flush while I tightened them. It is SOLID and I haven’t had any issues.
