Workbench and shop computer

If you look back through posts you will may notice my workbench. I originally built it out of scrap materials (except for 4*4s) at the old house. I almost left it at the old garage but decided it would be a nice temporary workbench at the new house.

Freshly built workbench at the old house.
In the freshly built shop.

My original plan was to build a new built in L shape workbench against the inception shed and the window in the shop bay. After living with it for 4 years I decided it was almost perfect fit, and an L shaped bench wouldn’t work. Instead, I just wanted to add on a little bit to it to create an area in the corner to keep a trash can and oil dry under and phone/keyboard on top and clear up space on the workbench by getting the laptop and stereo off of it.

At this point the bench was still freestanding and I could move it around using my hydraulic table. Before I made it permanent I needed to paint the inception shed.

Finally hooked up my old air reel so I now have two functional.

Workbench was now permanent. I had been using a laptop on the bench along with my Grandma’s old stereo since I built it. My other Grandma was moving and no longer in need of her TV or computer so she gave them to me. The plan was to hang the TV on the wall to use as a monitor, put the speakers on top of the inception shed, and built a shelf behind the TV inside the inception shed for the receiver and computer.

Now I could read things like torque specs from far away.
