Carb out EFI in: Part 3 ITS ALIVE

With the fuel system done, and a call it rough draft of wiring done it was time to load an initial tune see if it would fire up and run. I went through the wizard on the handheld answering questions as best I could and performing the TPS learn.

I’d like to say it fired the first time I turned the key but it did not. BUT it was damn close. I didn’t make any changes and it fired on the third try. Presumably it made some changes on its own and then I was in business!

Because I wanted to actually tune it and not just rely on the self learn / auto tuning I installed Holley EFI on my tuning laptop and started bringing it along for drives.
