Hidden Gate Rebuild

In spring of 2016 we built a chain link fence around the back yard. We decided to do a wood privacy fence between the house and shop. It is about 10.5′. This turned out great but we used pine pickets and neglected to stain them. In addition to that we used treated 2*4s for the framing which I think ended up just being extra weight while not helping us because they are not ground contact.

We watched lumber prices all year and finally jumped on rebuilding it when we were able to do it for about $200 in supplies.

You can see the old split discolored pickets.
Charlotte and I built the frame, but asked Mark to help us get the pickets lined up so it looked good.
Much better!
Just needs stain now!
